The climax of the North East England Tourism Awards competition is the awards ceremony, which will take place at Newcastle Civic Centre on Tuesday 24 March. Hosted by Geordie comedian Chris Ramsey, this glittering evening is built entirely around celebrating the success of the finalists, who represent the best of the North East’s tourism businesses. It provides finalists with a moment of well-deserved glory which can be used to market, promote and improve their businesses still further. The awards ceremony also acts as a beacon for all tourism businesses in the North East, encouraging them to raise their game and become members of this quality elite.

Tickets for the Awards Ceremony are limited and will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

The 2020 North East England Tourism Awards will take place in the Banqueting Suite at Newcastle Civic Centre on Tuesday 24 March.

Ticket Shop Ceremony Details

Guests are invited to enjoy a black-tie dinner followed by the awards ceremony. As there will be a large number of awards to present on the night, only gold winners will receive their award on stage. However, there will be a separate photo session for winners of silver, bronze and highly commended awards. A special souvenir programme listing all finalists will be available on the night.

This years awards compere is local comedian Chris Ramsey.

Chris Ramsey is a critically acclaimed Stand Up Comedian and regular face on TV. He has hosted two series of his own show The Chris Ramsey Show on Comedy Central as well as Chris Ramsey’s Stand Up Central and the panel show Virtually Famous on E4. He is a regular face on Celebrity Juice on ITV2 and played the lead role in BBC2 sitcom Hebburn. He has performed on The Royal Variety Performance, Live At The Apollo and hosted his own episodes of Live From The Comedy Store on Comedy Central. He was nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best show in 2011 and has since sold out numerous massive UK tours.
